I have been drinking coffee in its many different forms, since I was 14 years old.
My mother used to make me a cup every morning before school, so that I would get going and make it to the bus…
Funnily enough, I always missed that bus and was always late to school.
My mum always said that it is so important to be on time, trying hard not to be late, which I, many times didn’t follow that rule, and so the coffee became stronger and stronger, and by the age of 19, I was drinking black coffee five times a day, with two sugars in each cup!
By the time I was 26, I was having 15 coffees a day and smoking two packets of cigarettes a day.
At some stage of my life, I decided to stop smoking and while I was at it, I stopped drinking coffee as well.
I was in bed for four days with cold sweats, high fever, and in amazing pain.
It was like going off hard drugs.
Thanks to my wife, I was over the pain and when I came out of it on the other side of the addiction, I was finally clean.
It was the first time I was clean since I was 14, and my nerves were not twitching, I did not “NEED” anything, and I was a nice person to my family and kids.
I must say that it felt like the coffee addiction and the sugar addiction were the hardest to give up, and had the worst effects.
Now, I drink Dattero as a great substitute for my old daily coffee fix.
